Classes are held at the Albuquerque Garden Center 10120 Lomas Blvd NE $5 per class – pay via cash at the door Reservations not required
March 1 – Fabulous roses – pruning, feeding, and caring The program will be presented by Claudia Bonnet with assistance from Beth Baker and Dorothy Brethauer. Claudia will bring potted roses to demonstrate how to prune and include basic rose growing tips. Claudia is a Master Rosarian, Chairman of the Albuquerque Rose Garden at the Tony Hillerman Library, and a long-standing member of the Albuquerque Rose Society.
April 5 – Planting beautiful containers for Mother’s day Learn how to use “thrillers, spillers, and fillers” to make beautiful containers for your garden, patio, or balcony – a great gift for upcoming Mother’s Day. Instructor Shirley Tetrault is a master floral designer and Master Gardener.
May 3 – Bargain bag gardening for your small space Learn how to plant small, inexpensive gardens in bags of potting soil. Perfect for new gardeners or those with a small planting space or balcony. Susan Head is a member of the Petal Pushers Club and a life-long gardener.
