Garden Guardians Summer Camp is a five-day camp with supervised activities, for children entering 1st through 6th grade, set in our urban garden at the Albuquerque Garden Center. Each summer we provide a unique summer camp experience, blending environmental education along with traditional camp fun. Working together, children learn to become guardians of the earth through practical gardening experiences, games, crafts, and guest speakers. We seek to increase familiarity of the natural world, and teach children how gardening can help the environment. Our camp goal is to help children develop a life-long love of gardening, a respect for the environment, a passion for giving back to the world, and above all, to have FUN!

Each year we have a special gardening or nature theme. This year it is, “The Magical World of Herbs”.  We will explore how herbs have been a part of human history, and the many ways herbs have enriched our lives.

Scholarships are available for those who qualify.
