Salary: $17.50 – (negotiable depending on office management experience)

OVERVIEW OF CAGC SERVICES
The Council is a non-profit organization comprised of 15 separate Garden Clubs providing plant sales, flower shows, and gardening seminars for the public. The council is a resource of horticultural knowledge for our community. Its success is dependent on the efforts of volunteer members and donations. The Council operates the Albuquerque Garden Center which houses an extensive library and meeting rooms for classes and workshops. Rooms are available to rent for private events.
The Office Manager is the primary contact at the Garden Center. This position interacts with customers, vendors, and garden club members every day. Candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and enthusiastically enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an organization with diverse needs.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates facility rental reservations
Provides direct administrative support to member clubs
Compiles a quarterly Garden Center newsletter with input from club members
Manages and oversees daily operations of the facility including responding to phone calls
Performs general office duties such as filing, record keeping, and creating reports
Ensures the security, integrity, and confidentiality of data
Monitors and maintains the inventory of general office supplies
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of office management experience
Ability to manage time and work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Outlook)
Familiar with email scheduling tools, like Email boomerang
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities both verbally and written
Experience with office machines (fax machines, printers)
