AAVC Field Trip

Members of the Albuquerque African Violet Club (AAVC) took a field trip to the White Rock, NM, home of Dena Brent, AAVC member.

We had a lovely lunch at the “Pig and Fig” Cafe, White Rock. Following lunch, Dena provided a very informative tour of her custom African violet growing environment in her home.  We received some great tips on lighting, watering, repotting, pest avoidance, and more.  We saw her extensive collection of African violet standards, minis and semi-minis.  In addition, we were provided a tour of Dena’s beautiful landscaping and garden.

The trip was a most informative outing and a wonderful change of pace!
