The June Gardening U class was a summertime activity for children. Â We had all the supplies for them to make fairy gardens. Â Retired APS teacher Helen Maloney lead the activity and it was fun listening to them explain their plans, and watching them assemble their gardens. Â They got to take the fairy gardens home with them, and we got to introduce the next generation to the Garden Center.

Yesterday there was a workshop today to decorate cans for our annual "Share the Beauty," in which we make fresh floral arrangements in the decorated cans to give to over 600 recipients, shut ins, veterans, nursing homes.
Ladies met at the Garden Center with from various organizations and in four hours they made over 300 decorated cans. Their goal is to have 650 ready before Share the Beauty in early June.
We are excited to announce the installation of our 2025 officers!
Connie Wenk will be serving as our president for her first term. Connie has been a volunteer with the Council and is a member of several Member Organizations. We welcome and wish her luck with her first term as president.
Please join us in congratulating our new officers! We are grateful for their commitment to our organization and we are excited to see what the future holds for the Council of Albuquerque Garden Clubs here at the Albuquerque Garden Center.
